Meet Our Staff

Hi! My name is Jassmin. I am the owner and director of Just Dance! Academy! I’ll also be teaching jazz and hip hop classes and coaching the competitive majorette team. For me, dancing isn’t just a hobby; it’s my passion. I have studied many styles of dance including modern, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop.

During my time at UNC Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), I was a member of Opeyo! Dance Company and eventually became the artistic director of the Hip Hop company. In the spring of 2013, I became a member of Misconception Hip Hop Dance Company and sat on the executive board. I am also a background dancer for R&B artist, Ginuwine.

Currently, I am a Kindergarten teacher at Fairview Elementary School. I am a dedicated and passionate dancer who wants to share that passion with other dancers. Opening a studio has always been a dream of mine! I’m so excited for the year!

Hi Everybody! My name is Mary. I was born and raised in Berkeley Springs, WV. I began taking ballet when I was seven years old and instantly fell in love with learning and performing dance. Over the years I've studied ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theater.

I began teaching in 2009 and taught students ages 4-13 in tap, creative movement, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. I continued dancing and choreographing when I attended college at Penn State University. I was a founder of Penn State Lyrical Line, an on-campus dance team that specialized in lyrical and contemporary styles of dance. My favorite part of dance is the sisterhood that I share with my fellow dancers.

I am currently a special education teacher and cheer coach at West Edgecombe Middle School. When I'm not dancing, cheering, or teaching, I enjoy traveling to visit friends and family and spending time with my cat, Almond.
